Sharma Mental Health Counseling is located on the stolen Lands of the Ais, Timucua, Seminole, and Miccosukee Peoples, as well as many other Indigenous Peoples who have cared for this region since time immemorial. These Lands remain sacred to their descendants.

Sharma Mental Health honors the Indigenous Peoples for their stewardship of these Lands, past and present, and extends respect to their communities, including those who continue to resist colonization and uphold their sovereignty and culture.

As an organization, Sharma Mental Health stands in solidarity with movements advocating for Land Back and Indigenous Sovereignty and urges the mental health community to actively reflect on and work to dismantle the dangerous colonial systems that perpetuate harm, including within our own field.
